Pros

1) Still have some good sub C Level people working here. 2) If you like to be micro-managed, work here.

Cons

1) Pay. Low to market salaries. Don’t give fair raises to long term employees working on the from battle lines. Can’t ever figure out how to pay commission timely or correct. When they do pay, it will assuredly be wrong and error in the company favor. Commission plans come with unattainable quotas. 2) Toxic Culture. They don’t trust you. You are a robot and if you don’t perform the widget output, they will replace you. Micro managing at its finest. Tracking softwares in place…if they can figure out ankle monitoring they will. Check outside your window for a Solera drone. 3) Internal process broken and resources virtually non-existent. So much cost-cutting and employees leaving or terminated that there is no one left to do the job and new systems from all the acquisitions have added more confusion, disjointed integrations, and duplication of data entry. 4) Unhappy customers. So much to write here but instead just find one and ask them. 5). Things are not “exciting” and “amazing” here.

Pros

Solera acquired Omnitracs and I have not seen any Pros.

Cons

Solera let go of good employees just to reduce head count. Their managers did not even know what Solera was doing. They also change policies that seem awkward like Flex time for vacation. So a 1 year employee could possible have the same amount of vacation for a 20+ year employee. What a kick in the teeth to tenured employees. Also Solera expects you to use your personal cell phone for company use but they do not want to pay a dime for the cell phone. They do not pay you to use your personal home internet for remote work at home either. So basically I am paying them for me to work from home and they get the client revenue. The company is pushing good people out the door and they act as if they do not care. I am not impressed with Solera.

Pros

Enormous potential across several businesses. Paid well.

Cons

Company can’t get out of it’s own way. Executive management provides little to no support to their employees and seems to find a way to thwart any forward progress. They’ve undergone two massive rounds of layoffs (one pre-dating COVID-19) and are poised to release even more employees now. This company has long-believed in cutting it’s way to profitability — if that strategy hasn’t worked yet it’s not going to. Their products are atrophying and can’t keep up with competitors. They’ve hacked their support teams to the point of almost non-existence. They don’t even invest in their sales organization. No idea how this company can dig its way out of the hole it’s created.
