Run as fast as you can

Pros

You get to learn Vista processes and reporting metrics which you would not find in a small startup

Cons

The ELT & SLT do not care about the people at all. The expectation is that you work 24/7 including the weekend and at our sales kickoff our CEO Darko spoke about how we all need to be more intense and only sleep 2 hours a day. This is company is being run into the ground and only cares about the money and the exit by Vista and the ELT. everyone and everything else is just in their way.

Do Not Work Here

Pros

There are some good people (mostly lower to mid-management) that work here. They are trying to do a good job and they really care.

Cons

If you are reading this review, you have decided to do your research before choosing to work for this company. I also did my research, but I chose to take a chance even though the reviews were worse than I had ever read about any employer. Unfortunately, everything I read before and everything that I still see posted is absolutely the truth. Do yourself a favor and do not take a chance hoping that it will be different and think that these reviews are only from disgruntled employees. These reviews do accurately describe the company and the environment. Solera truly does not care about their employees. People are leaving as fast as possible. The company does not pay out commissions in a timely manner to its sales teams and mid-management does not get paid bonuses as promised either. The healthcare insurance is horrible and the company only makes the 401k contribution once per year because most employees do not make it long enough to get the matching. Even if they do, it is not vested for some time so the company doesn't have to pay it out because people do not stay long enough. Management changes directions often so there is no real strategy. I think that women should have equal opportunities in the workforce, but there is an obvious initiative to promote women simply because of their gender despite lacking qualifications. This was recently seen again when they placed a Sr. VP in a position that she was not qualified for simply because of her gender. The newly appointed Sr. Director heading the sales team also is not qualified for the role and our sales team has no real direction under his leadership. There is no culture here and it is unfortunate that leadership does not really care to create a culture. They are desperate and will hire most anybody because they lose people as fast as they hire them. You truly are a number and nobody cares about your success here or about you personally. The ironic thing is that the company should see where changes need to be made, but they simply do not care enough. Do yourself a favor and keep looking for other opportunities. If offered a job here, decline the offer because most anything would be better than what Solera can offer.
