Pros

Rich company, they have money, they are growing.

Cons

Culture, culture, culture... Or as Solera calls it: Guiding Principles Fake reviews on Glassdoor ... the reviews I read are directly from their propaganda around the culture. When I first started working for Solera (through an acquisition) the CEO approval rating was in the teens, surprised to see it's now so high. Too much focus on making everyone a robot through their culture. 80/20 30/30 3x80 90/10...

It’s true - people will often hear (or see) Solera associates reference our guiding principles (80/20, 90/10, etc.) as well as other philosophies, such as the 3Hs (Always be Humble, Hungry, and Hunting.) Words like these mean a lot for Solera’s almost 5,000 global associates, and the values they represent are oftentimes the reason they choose to join and, ultimately, stay with the company. In addition to that, having a common language allows us to communicate effectively as a team and continue to achieve uncommon growth.

Pros

There is nothing positive about this company or Vista Equity Partners

Cons

Just a horrible company on multiple levels. Easily, the worst place I have ever worked. They destroyed Omnitracs, and SmartDrive is barely hanging on. - No leadership, no plan, no clue about trucking & related industries. - Solera leadership DOES NOT CARE ABOUT EMPLOYEES! Just ask them. - Large and growing technical deficit vs competition. Product development is nearly non-existent. - Raises and reviews are months late, if at all. - Changed FY '23 compensation plan in the middle of the year because their internal systems were so screwed up they were unable to track the plan that they created. How screwed up is that? - Getting anything done internally at Solera is impossible because so many processes and systems are broken. - Customer Experience and customer service have deteriorated horribly over the last 18-24 months. - Few customers are happy and most are leaving as soon as they can. - Employee turnover is very high. Many of the sharpest and most experienced employees have left. - Solera owners Vista Equity Partners do not seem to care what a sh*t show Solera is and seem happy with current clueless leadership.

Pros

Tony has great vision, good pay, good employees. We had great culture and produced great work with success. We loved our jobs and helped each other grow.

Cons

South Jordan management is horrible, cronyism at the highest level. They have succeeded in destroying working teams and dismantling them piece by piece. I went through three managers in less than six months as one after the other left when they saw what was happening. I was repeatedly lied to, promised promotions that never happened. Truly a nightmare situation. Constantly disrespected and treated as a toy soldier and not a person. Good talent is leaving because of the poor direction, lack of real leadership. Development management style belongs in prison camp not a modern software company. This place is the worst I have ever worked. You can't make up for vicious environment with free soda and snacks. Unless you want to take two steps back in you career, run.
