Pros

There are really wonderful people at every Solera company. These will be the individuals you will treasure and enjoy coming to work with every day, to make great products to serve your customers.

Cons

Since the integration of Solera’s North American holdings in 2016, Managing Directors have consistently failed to provide clear strategic direction for their respective VPs and Directors. These are innovative, excellent leaders, working exceedingly hard to give direction but have had their time and energy wasted by neglected strategy. Egos and arrogance take precedence over determining strategy. Militaristic, antagonistic leadership practices are the norm in the upper levels, which does not foster growth or care of good leaders or their teams. Communication is at best, vague and at worst, duplicitous. Lack of clear direction and constantly changing focus has caused a severe morale problem in individual companies. Shared assets like IT, Engineering and Product Dev, as well as HR, have limited resources (in tools and most importantly, people) to accomplish daily workloads or new projects, over taxing those team members that are left. Sudden layoffs to meet profit quotas have taken a huge toll in the day to day atmosphere and mental health of many employees, and whether by choice or force, great people are leaving. It is clear to all, that people are not valued for what they bring to the company, only profit margins are important. Some Solera holdings are very profitable companies but are being bled dry to support those that have been operating under bloated mismanaged practices. The families represented by these individual companies are all collateral damage of terrible leadership.

We value honest feedback to improve and are strategizing changes. We prioritize employee growth through providing the right tools and training, and though all businesses have some challenges, finding the best solutions is a priority. The industry is constantly changing, and everyone must evolve with it. Although change isn’t always easy, we pride ourselves on never being satisfied with the status quo and constantly re-evaluate strategies to stay above the competition. We have great teams and innovative leaders that will help us get there. Thank you.

Pros

Company has too much money coming from the parent company, Solera Holdings - have fun reading its reviews too!-. Burning dollars at an insane rate. Not a sustainable strategy but nice to have on the short term. Offices are enjoyable, though they prefer to make them look good than making them functional. Free snacks and drinks. If you can learn from chaos and management mistakes, this is an awesome place. Spending time here is like attending an accelerated course in management, where you learn by the example everything one should not do. It's also a lifetime experience; you'll learn from constant lies, internal politics and betrayals. You can witness first hand what people are ready to do for money. A few months at R3PI make you a stronger person. Feels like being part of real-life versions of The Office, House of Cards and The Muppet Show altogether. Due to the lack of proper organization and efficient collaboration between offices, opportunities to travel between the 3 locations in a desperate attempt to get something done Good ambiance within team members in Zurich. Laughing about the whole situation is what makes people hold on. I've never had so many good laughs during my career. Team is made of smart and skilled people whose potentials are unfortunately greatly wasted.

Cons

Constant lies. They are already plentiful in the job descriptions and never end Internal politics Betrayals Constant changes of direction High turnover Low software quality Low motivation Long hours No vision Hierarchy doesn't care Engineers are called developers and are expected to be brainless code monkeys Developers are consumables Flat hierarchy: a single incompetent person taking all the technical decisions. Underneath is a flat mass of powerless and confused developers Positive reviews are fake. Wonderful, awesome and other superlatives are obvious red flags.
