Focus is on making everything look nice, not to actually make good things. HR also plays by this rule. As long as the social network accounts are fed with cool pictures, everything is OK for them. Once you're in the company, they no longer care about you. Employees rarely stay long in the company.

Company is in a major cost cutting exercise since it was bought last year. Offices being closed, employees and mangers that know their stuff are being laid off. Replaced with new people that know very little of the product. Only thing management cares about currently is cost cutting.
