Pros

Great team attitude. The core of the VIS department is motivated and always willing to help one another.

Cons

The goal of any place of work is getting the job done with minimal distractions. Some of the best employees have been removed due to internal fabrication from internal low level management within the department. In the last year I have witnessed a few fantastic employees removed or with fabricated documentation. Essentially we have two bullies amongst us who have earned the trust of management. One temporary worker quit because they overheard these stories. I am not comfortable addressing these troubles with human resources and feel an more in-depth look into things is needed. We are growing as a company and struggle to keep up with work because of internal drama. Hiring temporary workers is great because it helps determine a good fit but ones social position should never be a determining factor. Asking others advice on internal troubles should never be penalized. Employees should be able to get answers from trusted managers without having to feel they need to watch their back. I should be able to comfortably have this conversation with human resources without fear of an embellished fraudulent report being provided to support my termination as well. Our relationship with our sister office in Michigan is compromised. I fear losing our newly aquired contracts because of these very things hurting performance.

Pros

If you're looking for a career boost, Solera is extremely rewarding and has really great benefits. This isn't a boring cubicle environment. There are always interesting and unique events. I agree with another review "wall street meets amazing race". Everything is done with an accelerated sense of urgency. A highly-qualify skill set is not enough to qualify. The key is how you execute. The guiding principles you learn here (80/20 90/10 30/30) will echo into the rest of your career. Prepare to be pushed to your limits. It can be quite exhausting, but when you realize how much you've actually accomplished, it will motivate you to get back up and do it again.

Cons

Not for everyone: Although there are a good number of family-oriented events and perks, the schedule can be difficult for family. This may be a company better suited for career-oriented individuals without kids, or those whose kids have already left the nest.
