      Small company easygoing and friendly. Upper level management is approachable and easy to communicate with. Very family oriented and trusted.

      Cons

      Small company not much room to grow and is focused on the existing business rather than new products and market segments to penetrate.

      Pros

      Solvay has a very good training and development program if you able to take advantage of it. Benefits are good; compensation is good.

      Cons

      Executive managers can be jerks. They do not need your recommendation or input since they have already made the decision. It is a fast paced environment. If you are not identified as a golden boy" you will be relegated to a life of mediocrity.

      Benefits are good. Different levels to pick depending on your needs. It includes Medical. dental, eye, long term disability. Vacation is standard 2 weeks for 5 years, 3 weeks at 5 years, 4 weeks at 10 years.

      Solvay has been going through major reorganizations about every 3 to 5 years.
