Pros

PTO. Mission. that is it.

Cons

They cant even provide a safe working environment. Building is in downtown Dayton and cars are broken into regularly. Security guards can do nothing but observe and report. In lieu of increased pay you are reminded about how good the benefits are as though you can spend them at the grocery store. Management has zero interest in helping you as an employee it is always "how much more can you do and what can be done to achieve the demanded (often unachievable) goals" with little to no accommodation and you're fired if you can't. . When you respond that what's desired of you is not only impossible but unethical, you are met with some thought terminating cliché. Don't worry though, instead of a raise for taking on more responsibility they'll gift you a mug and tell you to be thankful that if your spouse is offered insurance at their employer (no matter how bad it is) you can't have them on your insurance at Solvita. The mission here used to be about helping as many people as possible. Now it is making as much money as possible while retaining the "not for profit" title.

Pros

- pay is OK but should be more - benefits are ok

Cons

- promotions are not based on skills it's how you people please - bad behavior is not delt with - some higher management very dismissive of your concerns and problems - company higher up doing stupid cost cutting measures - baught a building and massive equipment but won't replace or repair current equipment that's been broken - trying to cut cost by cutting man power but buying automated machines that need high end maintenance and can't handle the amount of use - equipment in the css department has been consistently breaking down but it's crazy slow to get repaired * some equipment has been broken down for over a year making our job harder and stressful - team leads not getting to team lead having no authority to do their job it's a flashy title but nothing behind it - rules not consistent between leadership and shifts

Pros

The company's mission to provide blood and tissue grafts is solid.

Cons

Very focused on growing the business and cutting costs than providing the resources and infrastructure to sustain growth.
