Pros

Good advancement opportunities within the company only if you knew the right people.

Cons

After massive layoffs within the company structural changes took place and the new management team in the Ft Myers building undermined the rights to specific employees in the company. I was personally harassed, discriminated, falsely accused of drama that went on btw senior managers in different dpt . The HR dep in the company did not do anything but layoff the victims in order to keep everything a secrete. This is not a good company to work for.

Its good to have the name on your resume...nice building to work in...some people are great to work with...good benefits.

Cons

Too traditional....management not open to fresh new ideas even if they tell you they are...executive managements get worse every year, only in it for the company profit due to bonus and doesn't really care about employees.

Great company, great people but too much hand holding from Tokyo

Great people and great products. Making progress in premium television business. Sony is making a comeback refocusing on delivering innovative, quality products. A departure from past years where they were trying to be too much to too many.

Cons

Tokyo plays significant role in managing US sales & marketing. Little autonomy for US product marketing and sales.
