      Sony is a progressive company that generally values its employees. Genuine attempts are made at attracting and keeping talent. They place a high value on the values of the communities that they are a part of.

      Seems they are always just a little behind the curve. Spend a lot of time chasing the competition rather than leading it.

      It is a good company with diversification at the corporate level in Japan. The people working here are good to work with.

      Cons

      People running the organization are not "managers" - they have progressed through the ranks from functional specialties and do not know how to really manage people.
