Pros

- You get to see cutting edge products. If you love consumer electronics and technology, it's fun to see what's out and what's coming next. - A strong global brand. - Decent pay and benefits that are on par with other CE companies. - The on site gym is great even though it's not free. $20 per month membership fee. - Some outstanding people and brilliant minds at the company are mixed in with the dead weight. It's too bad that some of these people don't get an opportunity to shine because they're too busy working instead of schmoozing. - New president in the US with a new perspective to move us forward.

Cons

- The biggest con is the office politics. Much of the senior management is dead weight and they lack the vision and direction to guide the company on. The new president has a campaign to make changes but unfortunately he has placed the same old management into these roles instead of cleaning up and bringing in fresh leaders. - The company is slow and reactive because there are so many executives and executive committees to hold things up. - Plenty of waste. It's like pork barrel spending with valuable resources wasted on pet projects.

Pros

Good company overall, good pay, great benefits, GREAT exposure to systems (Hyperion, Oracle, Quest, Business Objects etc) - they use ALL!

Cons

in finance lookout for staying until 11pm or later. No work/life balance. Work load is CRAZY for one person and the compenation gap is huge. For this job (Sr. Financial analyst) you can make from $50K - 100k doing the same job (seems good but there is a catch when you get a merit bonus of 3%/year and they start you at $60k) Seems glamourous but you will work A LOT. Management could care less if its Christmas and the company has a week long MANDATORY shut down but hey its Q3 close, "what day or DAYS are you coming in????" yeah if you want to be the work horse monkey this is the place. Also you WILL get a write up for not being more "fast paced" ?????!!! you get the picture....

Pros

The company has a very wide range of products and services available, which means that the potential that you'll be contributing to the launch or sustainability of popular retail product is very high.

Cons

The company is big, slow and has very poor in-business communication - so it takes approval on many levels just to get anything accomplished. The corporate structure is very organized when it comes to management and executives, but at the average employee level there is little to no direction.
