Dead-end, low paying

Pros

I work with some really talented and genuinely nice people.

Cons

Depending on the division you work for, there is no room for growth, no career development and no path to promotion. The division that I work for, expects too much work to be accomplished in too short of a period of time, with too few resources. You have to work a lot of extra hours in order to keep up with the demands.

Pros

This division no longer exists, but it was intellectually stimulating to work there. Staff was treated with respect, and management tended to assume you knew what you were doing (rather than micromanage).

Cons

Corporate structure was a little vague and information is kept in "silos," so it was difficult to figure out who you had to contact to get permissions and cooperation required for projects. Some - but not all! - divisions had no clear path to advancement.
