People don't leave company, they leave boss/team

Pros

People don't leave company, they leave boss/team It was nice till 2016, now I can not think of single reason apart from facilities like alternate Friday bear cart, some day chair message, getting good compensation(agree) but lot of stress.

Cons

Think twice before joining. If you have passion to work -just work -no other boding then please go ahead. No scope of learning extra in regular hours. Some of migrated team/groups have much high pressure to finish tasks, team ended up working late and weekends. No work life balance No one is there to heard you unless if you are super senior or working 12 hours a day. New Management/Manager changes every 6 months. I had joined this company for longer stability but there is no rays of hope due to micro management.

Pros

The new management team led by Kris Hagerman (CEO) has been on board for a short time,~3yrs, the team is making significant changes to our 30 year old company, the results have been remarkable. The company is certainly on the upswing and performing very well. New products, investments in sales, engineering, facilities and employee benefits are reenergizing the employees and delivering record results for the company. Sophos has a fostered a hard working, collaborative culture where your input matters. Every employee has a voice to implement change. My time at Sophos has been the most rewarding in my career, simply a great place to work.

Cons

There are so many positive initiatives happening at Sophos, life work balance can be a challenge. This is always a struggle with any successful IT company I have worked for in the past.

Pros

I worked at Sophos a long time. Over the years, they have had fantastic technology, amazing talent and great management. The company culture has been great, with great office space and fun things going on. When I left, my direct manager was fantastic. There was a free lunch one a month. Workmates were good people trying their best.

Cons

In recent times, they have lost a TON of talent. Many many tenured, experienced employees have been fired, or have moved on. The pay was poor - and middle management knew it. They would hire based on who they could afford, not who would do a good job. Existing staff didn't get a payrise. I hadnt had a talent or pay review in years - and pay rises seemed to be random (also, hadn't happened in recent years). Closing the NA labs was a huge mistake, and off shoring technical support is a nail in the one shining light in Sophos - their high quality technical support team. At time of leaving, all upper management were being axed, and replaced with execs from Fortinet - sales was being crowbarred into a channel model - and the revoling door of experienced staff for new hires was spinning fast.
