Used to have great culture. Things have changed within the last couple years.

Cons

The CEO isn’t honest and continually stated that they were in a great financial state during Covid and that he could not foresee any layoffs. Two weeks later many loyal employees got laid off via a heartless and informal zoom meeting (really?!?!) and a week later, another round of layoffs were done. I’m sure there are more to come. With the CARES act grants that were received and the assurances of the financial stability of the company, one has to question the upper level management and their motives.

This was a fantastic company to work for until COVID hit and they showed their true colors. They put money and contracts above the safety of their employees and were very inflexible. As household with two parents who are essential workers we were put in a very tough predicament when it came to childcare and schooling. Sound leadership was unwilling to assist in anyway when it came to flexibility with working from home or leaving the office early to relieve spouse who was working at home and taking care of children. If you have children still living at home, this is not the company to work for as Sound doesn’t care about you as a person or care about your family.
