Hello and thanks for being part of our hospitalist team in your time with Sound. It's truly good to know you felt listened to; we continue to look to our bedside clinicians and medical directors to help us better understand local practice needs and how to best support you all in caring for our patients. As for compensation and benefits, we regularly evaluate these to ensure our clinicians feel fairly compensated. Currently, we're looking at how we might enhance our benefits package. Great feedback, and if you have more, please reach out to belong@soundphysicians.com. Take care. — Mihir Patel, CEO, Hospital Medicine

Hi and thanks for your review. I agree — working remotely with our great team is one of the reasons I love being part of Sound. As you indicated, the work can ebb and flow at times, but we have many development paths for our business colleagues and clinicians, with excellent growth potential. We appreciate the time you spent with us and wish you all the best in your next endeavors. If you'd like to share more about your time here as a recruiter, please reach out to belong@soundphysicians.com. — Carl Simmons, Senior Vice President, Clinical Recruiting

Pros

Having worked for several companies in my years in the APP field, I am most impressed with Sounds willingness to work with the APP's and really encourage them to expand their knowledge, push the boundaries (safely) of our abilities and recognize that we are important members of the care provider team. I feel as though I am treated as an equal and my physician colleagues recognize that we (APPS) are teachable, excited to learn and grow within this field. I genuinely feel like a true partner when sitting with my physician colleagues.

Cons

I am most disappointed in their retirement plan for their employees.

Thank you for sharing so openly here about your experience. I'm delighted to hear you feel valued as an advanced practice provider and clinician, and that you're treated as an equal partner in our practice. Thank you for bringing better care to our patients, and for being an essential and important part of your team – and of Sound overall. There are many ways to feel valued in the workplace, and I agree that benefits is one of those ways. We're currently looking at our benefits offerings and how we might enhance them. While this isn't an immediate answer, please know it's on our radar. Meantime, if you have additional input you'd like to share, you can reach out to belong@soundphysicians.com. Very grateful for your feedback and for your place on our team. - April Burke, Vice President, Advanced Practice Providers
