Pros

Compensation is competitive. Get to work at home once a day.

Cons

Leadership is not realistic as to what goes on in offices. If you are not in the clique you won’t make it. No training for positions. Absolutely no support from upper management.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We are sorry to hear that your time at Sound did not reflect the level of support and connection we want every colleague to feel. We appreciate you noting the competitive compensation and hybrid flexibility. Your comments about training, leadership visibility, and feeling included are important, and we understand how these concerns can impact the day-to-day experience. Every colleague should have clear expectations, the right resources, and supportive guidance, and it is clear we did not meet that standard for you. We are actively working on stronger onboarding materials, more consistent leader development, and better communication across teams. Feedback like yours helps us learn where we need to continue improving. Thank you again for taking the time to share your perspective. We wish you the best in your future roles.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are glad to hear how much you value your team and the positive environment you have at your site. We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding the timeline for posting additional support roles. Delays and limited communication can be frustrating, especially when teams are counting on updates to plan effectively. Your comments reinforce the importance of timely follow-through and clear communication with colleagues. We are working to tighten our internal processes around job postings and to make sure teams receive updates as soon as possible. Feedback like yours helps us understand where improvements are needed. Thank you again for your dedication to your team and the patients you support.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for the years you spent with Sound. We’re glad to know you found the pay competitive and had positive experiences with many of your colleagues. We also appreciate your honesty about structure, performance expectations, and leadership. It’s never our intent for anyone to feel dismissed or undervalued by those in higher-level roles. Professional respect and collaboration are core to who we are, and we’re continuing to focus on leadership development that fosters humility, listening, and genuine partnership with our clinicians. Retaining and supporting talented physicians like you remains a top priority for us. —Mihir Patel, Chief Medical Officer, Hospital Medicine
