Pros

They have their own billing system

Cons

Never seen a company treats physicians like nurses before! You will get called off work at 6 am because the census drops below their threshold. Census high just suck it up! Management is very dishonest and cares only about appeasing hospital administrators regardless of clinical importance or physician opinion. No exaggeration not a single physician was happy in my group working for them.

Thank you for being candid and for sharing your experience. I’m truly sorry to hear that you and your colleagues felt unsupported during your time with Sound. Physicians should feel respected, heard, and valued for the care they provide, and it’s clear we fell short of that standard for your group. Your comments about census management, communication, and trust in leadership are deeply concerning. We are actively working to ensure our hospital medicine teams feel empowered and aligned with our mission of clinical excellence. Feedback like yours helps us see where we need to improve and reminds us of the responsibility we have to our clinicians. If you’re open to sharing more, I encourage you to reach out to us at belong@soundphysicians.com. We’d value the opportunity to hear directly from you. —Mihir Patel, Chief Medical Officer, Hospital Medicine
