Pros

There are obviously good developers here. The work/life balance is okay. I found my team to be smart and productive and it helped me keep smart and productive. The stack and products aren't the worst and there are those who try to keep things current (sometimes even management does).

Cons

Everything is good until it isn't and then layoffs are a (yearly) necessity. I was told lead meetings are an airing of grievances and that hasn't changed. I doubt they realize the passivity of the teams may have something to do with that. Favorites are very much a thing here and you can get away with failure to deliver if someone in management is looking out for you.

Pros

My time at Sourcetoad has been the most rewarding year of my career in tech. Working on the Cruise Director project has given me the opportunity to tackle exciting challenges and take ownership of key features that make a real impact. The collaborative environment, paired with the chance to learn something new every day, has been instrumental in my growth as a developer. Sourcetoad fosters a culture of innovation, and being surrounded by such a talented team has pushed me to reach new heights in my skills and career. It’s truly been an amazing experience!

Cons

At times, the budget constraints can create some instability, which may affect long-term planning and resource allocation.
