Sourcetoad is an excellent development shop mixing the world of small business requests to large scale enterprise solutions. The technology used in both the projects and development environment never fall behind which provides a very flexible environment to develop in. As a Software Engineer you are given plenty of options (if used) to enhance your knowledge set whether from classes, conferences or webinars. Paired with that Sourcetoad is a big contributor in the Tampa community which results in plenty of developer meetups as our space is used for meetups. The company is growing fast as we've already moved locations and expanded in the new location. You can rise fast and be immediately in a position where the work you do is put in the real world. In terms of the office, hours are flexible and as long as you are getting things done working from home and vacation requests are always approved. Drinks and snacks are always at the office in case you start to get hungry. Company sponsored events are frequent so employees become more than someone you just work with.
Cons
As we are growing very quickly, sometimes its hard to figure out the direction the company is heading. Recent changes and monthly company status updates have begun to resolve this, but sometimes news catches you off guard if you are worried about always knowing the direction of the company.
