Pros

To gain experience toward getting a better job. You will learn how to do things with a minimal amount of support and resources, which can be challenging yet rewarding at the same time. It can be wonderful to work with faculty and students.

Cons

It is a stuffy, cold environment. Some members of administration have very short fuses and do not treat their employees well. It is a for-profit college. Individual department budgets are not set in stone. Individual departments are often not allowed to use all of what the administration approved for them. Receiving collections calls for overdue invoices is uncomfortable. Too much focus is put on appearances. Compensation is low.
