Pros

Easiest job you'll ever have because there aren't much to the standards

Cons

Cronyism, Nepotism, NIMBY elitist, questionable business practices with government agency in Richmond regarding bids, & grant funds management. Openly gossipy, cliquish, & an active hostile work environment enabled & allowed by senior staff, the CEO, & the entire finance department, poor accounting practices, antiquated processes, selective reporting, & in general, everything bad about a non-profit anyone has ever assumed that has been doing less with more for decades, by choice, to keep the funder happy, & open to such extortion with no qualms.

Pros

SERCAP provides an excellent work environment, offering flexibility when needed, which assist greatly achieving a well-rounded work life balance. The benefits are exceptional. SERCAP's CEO and management ensure that employees have the tools necessary to provide the best outcome to the people and communities we serve. Additionally, SERCAP is highly respected by employees for sharing concerns, problems, and opportunities.

Cons

Merit incentives should be based off performance as should pay increases, which are sparse.

Disappointing Leadership

Business Outlook

Pros

Sometimes you get to help people in the community.

Cons

Poor leadership: No empathy or caring for staff members, lack of support, bullying certain team members, allows bad behavior from select employees, does not listen to concerns and/or suggestions for improvement. This organization has an everyone for themself type of environment and awful company culture. There are disrespectful co-workers who constantly get away with treating others badly. Their policies/procedures and work style are outdated. There is absolutely no room for growth.
