Pros

-Pay is significantly higher than other industries for comparable work -Benefits are generous with 401K match -Work-life balance is generally very good -Hybrid schedule; most departments only 2 days per week in the office

Cons

-Limited opportunities for career advancement unless you actively find other roles within the company; I was promoted 3 times in 13 years but had to apply, interview, and be selected for each role -Frequent and ongoing layoffs every 5 years due to overhiring and inefficient processes; layoff decisions are arbitrary and not based on actual performance
