Process driven organization due to regulatory nature of the company. Ok working hours. Polite people within department. Great coffee in the break area.

Cons

No career development. For past couple of years, turnover rate has been starggeting. They cant keep the talent on hand. When you get hired, they tell you there will be plenty of chances for development. Low and stagnant salary in comparison to other industry leaders. Stagnant creativity. Ego driven management. It's a good ol' boy culture. Diversity is only there for statistics aspect to meet the quota of the regulated company. If your position requires you to travel, be really careful and get nuances in writing. No diversity in ideas either.

Hierarchy is static Hard to assimilate if you didn't "grow up" at Southern Energy world is changing and employment opportunities are shrinking. More reorganization and job reductions are coming.
