Middle management can be out of loop. Depending on subsidiary may have working managers or managers that look at their role to report on work but not do any Seniority weighed too heavily for positions. Hard to move up rapidly until 10+ years under belt Due to perceived 'good ol boy' system in past and probably rightfully so, company attempts to promote all minorities quickly to move them into management/leadership positions Must get on the 'list' to move up quickly and have many opportunities in different areas Easy to get suck in one department
