Pros

Nice teamwork environment and a lot of chances to learn more and develop new skills.

Cons

Still dealing with legacy products and probably R&D need more resources to meet all customers needs. But they do an amazing work with the resources available!

Pros

Great people. Visibility from CEO down on management's plans. Paid well and okay benefits.

Cons

Manual processes, heavy staff turnover. The average sales person's tenure is less than 3 years. low- and middle-management tenure is less than 2 years. Insane amount of meetings and manual workarounds that need to be repeated in multiple places. Insane amount of internal meetings.

Thanks for your feedback. I couldn’t agree more with your response about the people who work here. We have incredibly talented people at Sovos. I agree that we have grown (and will continue to grow) quickly. There are some growing pains, and we’ve recently created a centralized business operations team and made some other organizational adjustments to help us move through those changes more efficiently. The goal is to help employees spend even more time serving customers and keeping our promise as a company. Another recent event of note was the pilot of our first No Meeting Day, which received positive feedback. I also want to address your concerns about turnover. Our turnover rates, which aren’t accurate in your review, are in-line with other software companies of similar size. We pride ourselves on giving employees many opportunities to grow and develop their careers. Often, that leads to growth within the organization, but sometimes it means they bring those skills elsewhere. We cheer their development regardless. Please reach out to me directly if you’re interested in discussing any of these matters in more detail. Erik Gilder, Managing Director, North America

Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback. Pleased to hear our benefits work well for you. I hear many positive comments from Sovos employees related to our flexible time off policy, which allows folks to take the time they need without worry. So glad we made the change several years ago! As we have seen this year, life happens in ways we can never predict – and our priority has always been to enable employees to take care of themselves and their families first. That includes pivoting to remote work as soon as we realized that was in the best interest of our employees during this pandemic. Thankfully, we continue to meet our obligations to each other and our customers. I do miss seeing everyone in-person, though, and I look forward to the day when we can get together again – safely. Thank you again for your feedback and for helping to Solve Tax for Good.
