Pros

Very flexible - exclusive work from home. Much better in terms of workload than in past. Training company- great to start career in vat but also it. Clear paths for career progression. Local management best! - very approachable and supportive. Dental and health insurance. Generous holidays allowance from day. Amazing and diverse workforce.

Cons

Global corporate based in US - sometimes it is difficult to understand direction of the compan. They claim to be tech for me is vat all mixed up and very confusing. However it is getting much better in recent weeks. There is a lot of work going into this. recent pay rises and promotions were shocking - much lower than previously. No social events. Little support after closing offices (annd some closures in not human, transparent manner) and moving to wfh in terms of them cutting costs and us increasing and not creating opportunities to meet in person. Some questionable HR decisions- not extending contracts but reapplication for same job roles, not moving contracts to different locations for very good and loyal employees. There was no Christmas gift this year. For me very telling sign of attitude towards staff considering there is new CEO.

Pros

The product is good in the regard that it's a holistic solution, despite the fact that it's a very misaligned solution and 90% of implementations end horribly.

Cons

The company is lost. When I joined, deals were getting closed and there were deal deals and team efforts in order to win. Right up until my departure that had all vanished. There is no structure, they "let people go" at alarming rates regardless of performance. It's become the KA show, and everybody is expected to praise him as if he were a superhero or else. There is no company culture. In fact the head of company culture was one of the first to be fired when KA joined. Pay is also horrific for an ambitious salesperson.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and feedback on your experience with our company. We genuinely value your input, and we appreciate your candidness regarding both the strengths and areas for improvement. We value open-ness, transparency, and candor as a core value in the company. It's heartening to hear that you recognize the holistic nature of our product. Indeed, our commitment to providing a comprehensive solution, becoming THE trusted partner for businesses on their journey to “always on compliance” and delivering a holistic integrated platform vs. just a collection of best-in-class point solutions is at the forefront of our transformational change. We are currently navigating through a period of significant evolution, aiming to enhance the alignment of our solution and improve implementation outcomes. We recognize that whole-scale change is hard, and its represents a challenge in maintaining and improving a company's dynamics. We understand the importance of a thriving, cohesive and inclusive company culture, as you know having spent time here. Embracing transformational change is tough, no two ways about it. It requires refining and sometimes redefining processes, adapting new strategies and fostering a shift in culture. However, we know the rewards are substantial, as successful transformation at Sovos not only positions the company for long-term sustainability but also cultivates innovation, agility and a heightened competitive edge. It’s a journey that demands resilience and commitment, but the outcomes are incredible. And it is overwhelming positive for our hundreds of partners, thousands of employees, and hundreds of thousands of customers, all of who are HUMANS. And as you know having spent time here, we are a very, very human-centric organization. We care deeply for the people and that is always the first and foremost consideration. Your comments on organic bottom-line growth resonates with our commitment to delivering a strong product solution set through a talented and dedicated team. Integration of acquired companies again is always challenging, but when you are committed to doing the right things for the people involved, and are driven by the exciting innovation and transformation journey we are one, the changes are overwhelmingly positive – we are optimistic about the positive changes we’re already seeing. The results are already showing. For instance, your comment about deals closing. We have enjoyed the best bookings quarter the company has had in years as a result of the positive changes we’ve made already, and that is just going to continue. It’s fantastic to see when the tough changes being made translate into positive business outcomes, another area where what’s great for the company and what’s great for the employees are 100% aligned. Finally, I do want to be clear that nepotism has no place in our culture and there are no superheroes here. We have put together a world class TEAM, who puts TEAM first, not individualism. Not a single hiring decision gets made based on who-knows-who. Nor will it, ever. Change is always difficult to get through. Avoiding these necessary changes would be a disservice to our customers and our employees. Our success is dependent on the contributions of each and every employee at Sovos; we will reach our destination together, as One Sovos. The company and I wish you the best of luck as you pursue your career elsewhere and thank you for the time you spent here, your contributions are valued. As is your feedback! Kevin Akeroyd CEO

Decent, but not sustainable

Pros

- Benefits - Flexibility - Good People overall - Great job to develop transferable skills

Cons

- Work is overly demanding for the pay you’re given. Sovos has lost countless top members due to an unsustainable and unrealistic workload. It’s a good job to start, but nobody ever stays. Once you develop your skills a bit, that’s when it is time to look elsewhere. Turnover is inevitable at this company

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate you positive comments on benefits, flexibility and the quality of our team. I agree with all of those, especially the comments about our team. We have the best people working at Sovos. I do want to acknowledge your concerns about the workload. We do understand the impact that can have on an employees experience. At Sovos, there are always times that are going to be busier than others. Tax season is a time of year that we prepare for quite extensively, including hiring seasonal employees to help ease the burden. And while turnover is inevitable at every company, we are currently experiencing our lowest turnover rate in our history! I am thrilled for you that you learned transferable skills and I wish you the best as you continue your career. Thank you for the time you spent with us. Paul Banker General Manager
