Pros

Amazing place to work at with many fascinating teams and projects. You get to see rocket launches at least once a month. Interns are treated like full-time employees and we are given important tasks. Some events are organized for the interns and housing is in the same place making it easy to meet new people. Free shuttle from housing to SpaceX. SpaceX also helps pay for a gym membership.

Cons

Some projects have tight deadlines and require us to work long hours. You work on average 50 hours a week (But you also get overtime pay). Working too hard may result in burning out. People working at SpaceX are passionate about their jobs and don't mind putting in the extra hours.

Pros

The most rewarding aspect of working at SpaceX is the impact factor, knowing that I'm contributing, however small, to a cause that will advance civilization and lay down the foundation of space exploration. The work environment is open and friendly. The work itself, although high pace, but is self-managed. You're given some projects/tasks and let loose. The manner in which the projects/tasks are completed determine your qualification of getting the 2nd internship, or transition to new hire. Other perks: free coffee, yogurt, fruits, and gym membership. There's a full menu served at multiple locations for all meals. Main meals are relatively cheap ($3-$5!). There's so many to list as pros for working at spaceX, but my main one is the projects itself and that's enough to outweighs the challenges I've encounter so far.

Cons

One big con of working at spaceX, Hawthorne is its location. Although indirectly related but plays a decisive roll when weighing options. Traffic, high cost of living, smog, and more traffic are common complaints.
