the one thing I liked was my coworkers. They were young, which was cool since they were pretty laid-back.

Cons

It is a corporate situation. Upper-level isn't really in touch with what happens in the stores.

Pros

There was always plenty of work to do. No fear of having to look busy. Mostly good co-workers.

Cons

As a temp, at one point I had 4 different schedules in 5 weeks. Being a 24/7 operation, this meant start time of 8 am one week, and 2 pm the next. Often seemed like dept.'s worked against each other instead of with each other. Some lack of planning and organization led to everything happening in reactionary mode, vs proactive mode.

Pros

I worked with a lot of wonderful people and met a lot of friends. The store had a very small town / family environment, knowing customers by name and knowing all of your fellow coworkers personally.

Cons

Very little feedback was ever collected from corporate, and there tended to be a very strict divide. Although this wasn't a career job, I felt that the potential of many employees was ignored, and many practices could have been streamlined if only management had listened to the people actually working on the "front line." Tended to have a "bottom-line first, employees second" mentality.
