There’s a lot of cons but the major one being the management, Cedric and John are some of the absolute worst managers I’ve worked with. They try and bully you, talk to you however they want to and ask you to work even on your days off which of course kills your work life balance. My advice to anyone that’s looking for contract work you’re in DC there’s plenty of better companies to work for.

Low UX Maturity Low Quality Software Products: Most people in leadership and management do not know what is required to create a good user experience. Out of the 3 managers I worked with none of them planned time for UX on their projects. All of them thought that UI was the same as UX. I am only aware of 1 manager at the company who was planning for UX research / discovery on their project timelines. Project Planning / Roadmaps: Discovery and user research are not typically scheduled into project timelines. Solutions are created without understanding who they will serve and how those people will be impacted. The company uses a version of agile called SAFE. Team structure: The typical structure is 1 UX worker per team / project. At last count the ratio of UX workers to programmers was 1:25. Often 1 UX worker will be split across multiple projects. There are no official centralized standards for user experience, each project / UX person works independently.
