Pros

Helping to positively impact the lives of the children you work with. Paid "vacation" when students are not on campus.

Cons

Very low pay with little to no room for advancement. Money is placed above the needs of the students and employees. Upper level employees lack supervisory skills and treat lower level employees extremely poorly. Director is often gone or unavailable and consistently unprofessional. Staff is miserable-a lot of drama on a daily basis. Pay is extremely low considering staff is often dealing with violent and aggressive pupils. Much of how the business is ran needs a lot of improvement-the masses created by upper level empoyees trickles down and eventually negatively affects students and staff.

Working with kids. Making an impact in a child's life. Developing your teaching skills working with different populations. Never a dull moment!

Cons

You must have a strong constitution as well as a great deal of patience with students and pride In your work.

Pros

Working with the children is rewarding, but the administrative team and unhappy co-workers make this place terrible to work for.

Cons

Bad hours, terrible pay, lots of gossip, you are likely to get hurt by the students on the job due to low staffing levels, and lack of support from the Corporate office and the Management team. Do yourself a favor and go get a job working with kids at a company that values your time and capabilities.
