Pros
Pay and benefits are decent; however, the personnel issues and the support for non-management personnel is the worst that I have ever experienced. Money and benefits are important; however, that is all Charter has to offer to its employees and depending the placement on the corporate ladder, an employee may not even have that.
Cons
The position that I had worked. could have been the sweetest job that I ever had; but, Charter being Charter, made it to be the worst job I had ever worked. The old Charter mentality and management style is still present. Outside looking in, it appears that Charter looks like it may be possibility moving forward for the better, but inside looking out, Charter is the same old wolf in sheep skin, chew you up, and spit you out, and you feel like vomit. Think long and hard before accepting a position, any doubts, don't walk, turn and run.

Pros
Work hard, you can grow Allowed promotion to leadership with no degree if proven in job performance Good Benefits including 6% 401K Match plus RAP account. Near free cable services Pay would be around average 15 years gets you 5 weeks vac plus 4 personal days
Cons
Work Life Balance - particularly around schedules & shift bids Preach resourcefulness yet little is done to increase efficiency Post Merger, challenges with vision vs execution. But I trust will get better. I left because while they allowed me to build a career the radical change in schedule and lack of support in execution caused inefficiencies we had resolved years ago. It will get better - I am sure, but will take more time then i care to afford.
