Pros

The benefits like healthcare, 401k, dental, the hourly pay, are all great.

Cons

They are in the middle of transitioning their billing department to be online based and to meet the needs they have been transferring people from their other department but they haven’t done enough training as people who were hired into billing so there is a major skill difference. They were also trained differently and the old managers expect the new billing to go by their old managing rules. The billing managers often lack experience and display poor leadership skills. During team meetings they will display the metrics of the whole group instead of the average so people can see who is doing the worst. The managers berate people when they ask for help or clarification on policies so people stop asking for help when they need it. The managers also tell people not to post in the “help chat” for help and go over who shouldn’t have posted for help during team meetings. HR takes months to get back to you and they are not private about accommodations. When people ask for chair accommodations, they put a note that says “Name’s Accommodation.” One coworker has asked for one and she still hasn’t heard back in months about it even though she has been diligent about following up.because of a Kronos issue, people’s paychecks have been messed up and some people only got paid $100 for 2 weeks of work and no one is fixing it and telling people to go to other people and tossing people around.

Pros

The pay was quite high but that was about it

Cons

The pay comes at the cost of your heart and soul. Spectrum crushes you to work there. You undergo a month of training which is 9 hours a day of an online class. My college courses aren't that long of in class time. Learning about the magical new thing the internet in 2021 after walking in the 3+ years of required sales experience was devastating to motivation. Then the management treat you like children. You basically are a kindergartener in an adults body. It was down to very strict rules on where you could lay your jacket. You think im overblowing a situation. It was on the back of a breakroom chair and I got pulled off the salesfloor to get a lecture about how i have a designated space on the coatrack and chairs are not for coats. This happened constantly. Typically in sales you build raport with your customer while selling a phone because you are locked in for about an hour. Sometimes you just talk about whatever. I got told the "Nfl is not an acceptable topic on my sales floor" by a manager. Because we do not have sunday ticket and cannot leverage it to sell. I was just talking to a guy wearing a browns jacket. Its like if the nsa watching all of our computers critiqued us.

Pros

Paycheck ... I really have no other pros to list here. They pay decently for entry level positions.

Cons

Employees are disposable here, from tech support to billing agents, from engineers to trainers. Longevity is not a concern because they know they can fill the role quickly. Slow if any movement up. If you come into this business in an entry level role with your eyes on something like an Engineering position, be prepared to apply for those roles dozens of times without even a response, even if you have certifications making you overqualified for the position. Inconsistent policies. During a raging pandemic some departments allow work from home, others do not, even when the role is completely doable from home and you are given laptops that can be taken home anyway. With doctors notes some exceptions were made only to be taken away with no real reason given.
