Old School, Authoritarian Leadership

Pros

There are some nice, earnest people here who really want to - and can - do good work if given the chance.

Cons

Extremely traditional culture. Think formal dress and zero work-from-home. Many, many layers in the org chart. Leadership focuses on the minutiae at all levels. The tactical wins over the strategic every day. Your worth is judged by the ability to execute bad plans, not create good plans.

Pros

Complementary services, insurance, relatively relaxed atmosphere with coworkers.

Cons

Extremely poor communication between departments. The company quite frankly does not know what it's doing. Releases content and equipment prematurely and as a result it's broken. Customers suffer therefore employees suffer. Which makes employees look like doofuses because we ARE spectrum to them. Sick days really cant be used much without it going against attendance, making them relatively pointless.

Pros

- Free cable (out of footprint account if you aren't in their market area) and free internet (if you're in their market area). - Good benefits. - Meet a lot of different people throughout the company.

Cons

- Strict hours - you have to punch in and punch out . - Sub-par to crappy pay. - Promotions are based more so on production/your daily metrics, rather than merit and good-quality work. You truly are just a number to them. - High turn-over rate. - Advice on a better way/process of doing things for design are almost completely overlooked. You are told that you should give evidence/examples of why something doesn't work, and they will thank you, but then nothing is ever done about it/implemented. Nothing, in this respect, changes. *The only reason "Compensations & Benefits" gets 3/5 stars is because the benefits are pretty good. I would give the pay 1.5-2/5 stars.
