Pros

You work by yourself without immediate oversight and have a lot of Independence. Since it's a salary position you're able to easily take care of personal appointments like scheduling dentist or doctor appointments on your work day. You get paid for mileage and also Commission. They have upped the salary so for knocking on doors it's pretty good cuz you have that plus commission. Free cable services and great discounts on everything else cell phone services. You use your own personal vehicle but they do pay for miles. although not enough

Cons

you have to be outside in all the different weathee conditions knocking on doors and have to be okay with rejection. You have a hard sales manager heavily on your shoulder and have a high sales pressure environment. You have to make sure you get your quota otherwise you get in trouble and can get fired eventually. You have to do a lot of extra work like following up with their customers to make sure that it's installed and keep track of your orders which is tricky otherwise if mishaps happen you won't get paid or make your quota. When I was there there was no referrals and you're stuck to the only area that they give you and sometimes it's been super saturated. Do not require the work on the weekends but they pretty much always tell you that you have to and they have Shady practices to make you work on weekends. You're pretty much always at work because your salary and you're always on call of with customers pretty much.. you could sometimes work very odd hours.. you can sometimes work over 50 hours and not get paid anything extra for it. They say it's your personal business but they don't allow you to do your own mailers and stuff like that to be more successful or do your own independent advertising. And they don't allow referrals last time I was there which is sales 101. Most of the time there's not really much of an advantage between you selling their cable services or the customer calling the store so there's really no insensitive to do with business with you for the customer in that sense other than your great sales skills and likable personality. No residual so you're kind of screwed after the sales process too.
