Pros

Made good money from hourly. The benefits were very good.

Cons

Lots of workplace drama. People who should've been fired for harassment, theft, and stalking had no repercussions. Was constantly yelled at by customers and bad mouthed by some mangers. The store position took a lot of hate as there is no communication between stores and call centers. Call centers would force you to break business rules or face repercussions for customers then your management would get mad. Also same management would not provide advice on how to correct what was wrong so you could succeed. you would lose sales even when following the business rules because the store managers force you to break the rules so customers will be happy and then get mad at you. Hr provides only some assistance of mediating any of it. When customer are aggressive verbal or physical you still have to power through as management may not do anything. Lastly even when pushing your sales, coworkers and other people can take them from you as well as not be able to make any sales in poorer communities as even minimum numbers met does not guarantee any good amount of commission

Not one pro at all.

This job is the worst I have ever had. The expectations are ridiculous after ramp up don’t expect to make commission. You don’t get to hire your own people so the turn over rate is ridiculous. Recruiters are hiring people with little to no sales experience and many are struggling with English because it’s not their first language. Upper leadership is only preaching get the people out of your business not how to develop them or how to meet your targets. Company is piling more and more on the supervisors expecting 3 hours in the field DAILY while also handling all other admin work. There is favoritism everywhere on who gets certain “special leads” which are full fiber leads (easier to sell) ALL THE BLAME IS ON YOU understand it doesn’t matter that you didn’t hire these incompetent people it’s still your fault that you didn’t reach your absurd goal every month. They don’t care about your work life balance if you’re on PTO it doesn’t matter you will still be called and text to work on your off days and if you don’t they will retaliate by digging trying to find something to put you on corrective. This is the worst position at spectrum.

Pros

Pros, great starting pay, great benefits, new scenery several times a day (one of my personal favorites), very good paths to move up if you’re willing to work towards that. If not you can easily raise a family comfortably with the basic self progressions. You can take vehicle home if you follow the rules, which can save you 10s of thousands of dollars a year depending on how far you live from the shop.

Cons

It is stressful like any job, but worth it.
