Pros

One of the best paying jobs in the seasoned sales rep level: hit quota 12 months per year = commissions are over $100k, and you get paid a ok salary too. A lot of freedom to work how you please. Great support from immediate management. Great benefits: health, life, 401k, PTO Street Sheets given every month from which to work. Great sales support team.

Cons

Senior management only cares about the bottom line, only works from metrics. Lots of busy work: reporting, and activity tracking daily. Lots of hands on work post-sale. There are a number of people who handle an account once sold, and if the sales rep doesn't follow every step and something falls out, no one will claim responsibility to make sure it gets back on track.

Pros

The local management truly cares about the employees, and taking care of the customer. They do whatever they can to show appreciation for all the hard work done by the technicians on a daily basis.

Cons

The Regional Management Team and above couldn't care any less for what happened with the employees or customers. They are so numbers driven, that if an employee is unhappy and wants to leave, they do nothing to find out why, or make any movements to keep a good employee. They will remind you constantly that the team is replaceable if numbers are not consistently met. That attitude spreads through the team like a cancer.

Pros

NONE! The "free cable" barely works where I live.

Cons

You are expected to work from 10 AM- 8PM 6 days a week. You must hit 10 triple plays (Cable, Internet, Phone) sales to get paid ANY commission or you'll be getting $692 every 2 weeks which equates to $5.7/hour. They will set you up in Prostitute infested, Trap house infested, Illegals infested areas that haven't had, nor want any services OR simply don't exist and let you get 5-6 sales for them just for them to tell you, you didn't make quota... 2 week "training" module with people who have NEVER worked in door to door sales telling YOU how it works. Fairy tale scenarios to make reps think it is "easy"... Managers above you who have NEVER done door to door sales...don't actually knock more than an hour a day themselves breathing down your neck because you need to take care of personal stuff which they don't allow because you're supposed to be working 10AM to 8 PM with only Sunday (the worst day to get any business done) Off.
