Pros

You work in a store surrounded by snacks, so at least you won't go completely hungry. Though with no employee discount and no breaks makes it an expensive attempt to feed yourself.

Cons

Low pay even for managers, the yearly maximum wage increase for sales associates up to co-managers is barely above yearly inflation (and that's only if you meet the maximum requirements) so you only get a real raise if you get promoted (and that's a big if), hard to motivate other employees to work hard when the starting wage they get is just above minimum. No employee discounts, tuition reimbursement for co-managers seems nice but expect to be rescheduled to fill in for call outs which could disrupt your schooling if your willing to leave the school to help your job. No bonuses for anyone but store managers. Never enough hours given to fill slots during busy hours, work duties laid out by paperwork too much for one person per shift inside. If manager gets promoted or goes on leave or another reason you don't have a store manager anymore, you are there to run the store with no corresponding increase in pay and your duties are also increased (a Store manager will be assigned to your store from a different one, but will never be around unless he/she wants to be as the manager already has their store to run too). Expect to be called in alot, and don't expect manager to discipline call outs properly (not enough notice time, leaves during assigned shift, etc) as the manager will be too worried that he/she won't have enough people to run the store. If you have any sort of disagreement with management or file some sort of claim against the company (OSHA, workplace injury, etc) they will find an excuse to get rid of you with seemingly minor performance or paperwork issues. Make sure you get documentation of everything you claim there, as they will too try to find anyway to dispute it. They claim the company believes in "valuing the employee" but you know that's a lie when you work everyday here. In short, this job isn't worth it for the amount they pay, the duties they require you to do, the easy way they justify terminations when they want to get rid of you for unrelated reasons. They're only seeking desperate people for these jobs, willing to work the hardest for the lowest wages they can possibly pay.

Pros

I cannot think of any pros in my personal situation.

Cons

Zero breaks. Ten hour workdays and no time for breaks. There are also no chairs so you have no time to get off your feet during the day.
