      Pros

      Very competitive salary with matching 401k and decent paid time off. The training and communication is excellent. Paid holidays are also very nice.

      Cons

      Staffing the store is a constant challenge. There is high turnover and its very challenging to getting employees motivated to reach goals. It is impossible to get promoted with a degree.

      Pros

      Speedway was like a little family. Friendly, fun great environment.

      Cons

      I was the only person willing to take the hours people didn't want. Also if someone called in I was the only one they could count on to cover the absent persons hours. Being pregnant all the way till my due date it started getting stressful. Being the only employee they could count on.

      Pros

      Slightly better than average pay and benefits including education reimbursement. Some departments offer flexible work schedules.

      Cons

      Little opportunity for career advancement unless hired in at a pay grade of 6 or higher. Department managers are often placed into management positions based on subject matter "expertise" but have no experience managing others. Education level always takes precedence over experience.
