The one good thing about this company is that they dont know how to win unemployment hearings.

Cons

I waste 10 years of my life bending over backwards for this company with absolutely no support. Worked my way up and was a store manager last 6 years. They fired me after I requested a transfer back to my hometown because I was driving over an hour just one way to my store. The DM's and HR do whatever they want because they truly believe they're the only ones that matter and this will be the complete fall of the company. Get better DM with higher leadership abilities and HR reps that know how to look out for the best interests of employees instead of granting DMs the permission to fire excellent employees.

Pros

You could probably run circle around all the employees at any other job given the work ethic instilled and tight business model you work under.

Cons

Long days (14 hours average) as a manager if you aren't given good employees. Have worked multiple days of 24hour shifts (or longer) due to call offs and poor system for back up help. Very little help or time to train properly. Upper management often doesn't know as much about the systems that they are supposed to train on as most of the store managers do.

Great place to start a career. Gave me the motivation to go back to school. Fast paced environment/never a dull moment. Has a lot of advancement opportunities and has great benefits.

Cons

Nothing really bad to say, Speedway has treated me well.
