Pros

Weekly pay(great for college kids), regular customers make your shift smoother, decent pay on holiday

Cons

monthly inspections seem impossible during business hours(especially your store is a busy one), not enough people on staff - cook, manager and 1 csr isn't enough, upselling bonus candy seems to annoy customers-being yelled by angry diabetics doesn't make me feel good :/, benefits of the job aren't detailed- company's website is very vague

Speedway is not a good place to work long term.

Pros

You meet some great co workers, possible lifetime friends. Some of the customers are really cool, with the exception of the ones that feel you do not deserve respect because you're on the other side of the counter. Speedway makes you man up, and in turn you build your work skills in various areas if you stay around. The benefits are good.

Cons

Where do I start? Speedway is more concerned with money than their employees. There are no breaks at all even with working a 15 hour day. Your break is eating while standing at the desk doing paperwork. The pay is not fair, at least for store level employees. Even with benefits it does not even out! So much is expected from the management team down to the CSR's. Managers have to work 12-13 hour days and/or weekends to try to complete everything. The company does not give enough hours to keep the store maintained at the level they require. Each year is more difficult to get a decent bonus. They change the requirements for bonuses and compare to the prior year. Eventually for some stores bonuses will be obsolete. There have even been times they withheld bonuses that management earned. The company is not reasonable or ethical and is not concerned about their employees concerns. I could go on and on, but I have to wrap this up.

Pros

People, coworkers, regular customers Great benefits

Cons

Constantly pushing speedy card, candy, children miracle network. To much for the customers, they get aggravated by it all. We get written up for not doing it. Not given enough hours to work with, and can not have parttime people work more than 24 hr a week. Even full time are not allowed to be scheduled 40. Make man agent work over their 50+
