Pros
Speedway's work environment is not suitable for everyone. The company constantly on two-strike policy used to be three-strike, you are always being monitored, and always on on pip where secret shoppers would constantly arrive every two to three months wearing a hidden camera making sure you do exactly what you are told which are to greet customers, ask for memberships, and up-selling the customers failing to do all three will put you on two-strike policy. This is highly structured and rigid approach which is not suitable for everyone to consider working for Speedway. The worse part of Speedway is always short of staff great way to work 40-hours if you can endure all that pain and saving all that money. If you are twenty something who isn't addicted to gambling, alcohol, or not as heavily on debt this job is for you to save up money and then quitting once you work with them for two to three years or less to find a suitable and better career than a gas station from a company who doesn't see you as a person. Avoid working at Speedway or anything resembles to a gas station unless you are okay to be treated worse. I have an employer who constantly yelled at me for not answering my phone when he keeps calling me on the phone like I should take the job very serious. The reason why I get called is because of the reason is someone calling out, sick, and its worse if you've been working for long you become the manager's reliable source where if you do need something covered nobody is going to cover your shift. Point here is this. If you are the only who works closing and say you have a dental appointment at certain days guess what nobody is going to cover your shift while expected to cover their shift. 6_1_5 S_m_i_thtown.
