Working at Speedway in Oxford

Pros

The working hours were flexible

Cons

I was often not given the amount of hours requested and I was put in a position to be “on call” all week so I could pay my bills. When approaching management multiple times I was assured it wouldn’t happen again only for no changes to be made. Management was often difficult and unhelpful. When asking to go on leave for college I was told “you may not have a job here when you come back”

Pros

Customers can be the best part of the job, depending on which location you end up at.

Cons

Gossipy workers, neoptism reigns, fear of being sold as a company is driving managers to be very oppressive, promoted at the company's needs and demoted. Will literally hire anyone.

Pros

15 cents off a gallon Weekly pay Benefits package

Cons

Drama Low pay No help Forced to work (even in emergencies) Call ins are normal Employees, management and customers are rude and mean beyond belief, and they allow it Policies never stay the same, always changing They use WORD PLAY to convince you to become a floating manager or do what they ask. Then say they never said that. You live in fear of keeping receipts, they will ignore your cries for help and then say you never asked for it. Not a job for parents, they say scheduling is flexible, it is not, you’ll be threatened to be termed or “suspended” if you call in. They allow no call no shows all the time and make employees run 8-10 hour shifts alone all the time. Trainings are almost never done to the full extent and everytime they try to onboard someone, the “system” messes up and they get termed out and have to redo the whole process. Seems to me like it’s ran unprofessionally, I witnessed it for three years.
