Pros

• Company alignment: everyone's working towards the same goal of building a community for music creators. • Onboarding: beyond impressed with a 2-week onboarding. • Opportunity: with exciting partnerships, innovative users, and a strong product, Splice provides an opportunity to enter the music industry and understand those who create it. • Final Note: Splice genuinely wants to continue to get better. Whether it's been their focus on diversity and inclusion or providing mental health weeks, their main goal is to continue to improve.

Cons

To be honest, I haven't been with the company long enough to provide any cons. Splice is definitely a startup and needs refinement, but they are receptive to feedback, making their processes stronger and people who take initiative.

Pros

While I'm not one to write reviews, I felt compelled to share my recent experiences at Splice. This team is something different, something special. They live their company values, which are clearly articulated during the interview process. Management has done an incredible job leading through quarantine, and even more so during the recent protests and calls for social change. I've never seen such authentic leadership from the top and participation from the team at all levels. I'm very happy to be here, and believe this is the way companies should be operating in 2020 and beyond.

Cons

Not a con at all, but I'd say progressive thinking is a requirement to living the first value of being an inclusive and respectful collaborator. Be ready for a job that is more than just driving business outcomes (Splice is great at that too). If that's not your thing (or you're a racist?) I wouldn't apply.

Pros

In the time I've been here, I've seen a company that takes employee feedback seriously and has turned words into positive actions. I'm one of several female leaders, who, along with my partners are being deliberate about the moves we make so we leave the bro culture WAAY in the past and move us into positive spaces, and I've seen tons of progress in the short time here. I like that I'm heard and I feel like there is an amazing openness to feedback. I'm also just really into the relationship between product management, engineering and design. I've worked in places in the past that pay lip service to cross functional work but fail in practice, my experience at Splice has been really different in that we really do work as partners. There's a lot of mutual respect and that, I feel, helps. We also just make really great products... I feel like of all the tech startups in the world, we can honestly say we do no harm and in fact help artist progress... that feels really good.

Cons

No place is without it's faults, I would love to see us be more forward thinking. I think we could take bigger bets; let's get uncomfortable!, prioritize quality (i'm a designer after all) and keep improving our communication; there can never be enough.
