      Great Potential Mired in Ineffective Leadership

      Pros

      Good Pay. Good Teammates. Would love to give higher rating but got unceremoniously laid off.

      Cons

      Ineffective Leadership. Too much politics. Laid off a good number of good people while they are continuing to hire outside people. If you have a job my advice would be to pass, If you don't have one take it. You might have a good experience but I wouldn't get too comfortable.

      Great product and compensation

      Pros

      Great people, friendly culture and great product with interesting challenges to solve. Competitive compensation and career growth opportunities.

      Cons

      Titles don't seem to match up with other companies, eg a principal software engineer here would barely be above senior software engineer in a top 5 company(having worked at one). Core engineering team is fantastic to work with but distribution of knowledge and expertise is like an onion: most of the knowledge and decision making is controlled by a few people perhaps refecting the product architecture. Internal team architecture (mission teams) is too disorganized and teams are not incentivized to working towards the right goals.

      they pay in line with the market

      Cons

      they went public recently, and egos are astronomical while vision and talent and experience are low. lack of professionalism in entire company, with a lot of passive aggressive and ridiculous behavior.
