Nightmare for any field employee

Pros

As a sales person, you will probably make money since the technology is hot. They are constantly hiring. The San Francisco office is decent enough and stocked with the usual foods that all software companies have.

Cons

An absolute administrative nightmare, making it as hard as possible to do my job as a sales person. Folks who have never managed are managing teams, and doing an extremely shoddy job. The attitude of 'be happy you are here' doesn't work for talented and strong-willed people, who will find better positions elsewhere quite easily.

Pros

Pay, Benefits, unlimited PTO, very nice and smart co workers

Cons

I have never seen so much great and intelligent talent to leave the company. Commercial Growth segment was a joke. No one hit the quota and they laid them all off. They also wanted RSMs to sell through partners which only complicated the process even more since not all of the partners even know what Splunk does. Competition is bitting them for sure. They are trying to sell premium product to small and medium businesses and they failed miserably. Upper leadership doesn't know what they are doing ( they don't even know how to sell the solution). Since Garry joined the company the culture is getting worse and worse.

Pros

The benefits are the only good thing

Cons

Everything else is horrible. Micromanagement, managers that throw their direct reports under the bus, no organization, rampant blaming.
