Pros

Food Pay The office has been expanded and there are plans to make a nice California office in Cupertino

Cons

I've worked in Enterprise software sales for over 20 years. People who say Splunk is a great place to work are either lying or delusional. Really stupid, truly stupid, arrogant people work at this company. Management is absolutely awful. There's been major turnover from top to bottom. A kind of toxic environment has emerged because what was once a hot product has become harder and harder to sell because of it's expensive price tag and the broad competition from open source, and much simpler and elegant solutions. Period. Quotas are absolutely ridiculous. Probably 5 years ago it was a good place to work. But these days you should skip it - or at least know what you are walking into. Fear and intimidation are the only tactics left.

Pros

RSUs, Office buildings/Sofa, Food, Product. Some customers are loyal.

Cons

Lots of wrong hires in management/executive positions as well as at IC level. Management lacks the knowledge of industry/customers/markets but try very hard to show otherwise. Many leaders are not open to new ideas or ways of doing things. Lacks an environment of trust or collaboration. Micromanagement at some orgs.
