Pros

You get alot of experience with detailed men and boys haircuts. Sports are always on tv. There is opportunity for growth in becoming a manager

Cons

They just don't listen to there employees. Poor management . Owners putting so much into the company ... Coupons.... Marketing, not willing to keep store properly stocked... Paper towels, working dryer, equipment packs looking horrible due to not replacing towels that have been ruined and stained looking like rags. Lights that need fixing, shampoo bowls broken , ( 2 out of 4) I just hope your owner can really step back and look at the big picture.. Since the current manager which she looks at like a daughter ... Is running her business into the ground.

Pros

Base pay at most locations is $10/hr, which is (sadly) above average for most chain salons. Uniforms are very comfortable - you get to wear track suits, jerseys, and sneakers to work! Environment is generally pretty laid back - no chemical services, and a chill all-male clientele

Cons

Technical training is not frequent enough to be terribly useful and the techniques taught often make no sense for use on real clients. Stylists must follow an extremely detailed procedure for each cut (called the "5 point play") that basically takes all thought and personality out of the job. It is generally ignored, but if it is not followed to a "T" when QA shows up, the owner is fined and there will be hell to pay! Franchise owners often have no salon experience and therefore don't really understand the business. They are often fairly absent in daily business, which in my experience led to a lot of unprofessional behavior and incompetent managers allowed to do whatever they felt like doing.

Pros

The locations are great they all are in the surronding Birmingham area. And the clients are fantastic! The sport theme is great for anyone who love to watch sports while getting a haircut.

Cons

No leadership, No respect, and No confindentially. The turnover in staff is very high and once fully staff, it's a given soon you will be understaff. Which causes long waits for the customers, overworked stylist, and constant walk-outs.
