Pros

I have worked at a few franchises over the years and this one definitely pays the best. The girls at the location I'm at are awesome, I have heard that some locations are catty- I haven't seen it yet and I worked at another couple locations previously too. If you aren't confident in your technique they will send you to classes. The definitely notice and promote those who work hard. Pay is good. Goals are realistic. Upper management listens to everyone's input. Comfy pants and shoes are part of the uniform.

Cons

I am realistic because I say I have worked at a few places and I know what crappy managers can do to a staff. With that being said you are at the mercy of the manager. If they are bad- the morale of the team will be low and it will suck. You are urged to finish in 25 minutes- and sometimes you just need more time... of course they want you to sell products but that is anywhere. The uniform is comfy but cheesy.

Pros

It's nice to be in comfy uniforms,(u MUST wear tennis shoes!), not having to figure out "what am I going to wear today?" Since all stores are franchises, different owners have different commission/bonus outlines. If you hit your numbers, you can make great money. Tips are awesome. The stores are clean (they have central vacuums) and the structure of the company is what makes Sport Clips stand out, than the other salons. U have to follow a "script" to your clients. It's not for everyone, but when it's done, u gain a client, and make more money. Room for advancement.

Cons

Turnover, due to either poor management or owner's (a.k.a. team leaders.) We have a reputation and unfortunately as much as this company seems to "care about you" even if you "do your best" they can get rid of you without warning. U must have good numbers, since this is a "number" business. This company has lost some pretty good employees due to poor management and/or team leaders. U must work weekends and nights. No benefits except management.
