Good starter job

Pros

It was a great job to start in software, definitely not easy but I never look for that so it was perfect as what I wanted was to travel and had a lot of experience in hospitality. At a majority, I loved this job and the people were great!

Cons

I traveled 90% vs the 70% stated in the job description, which was not terrible at the time as traveling was what I wanted but it was exhausting. I did not feel at the time nor do I feel now in hindsight that there was much room for growth. Pay was too low for the job.

Cons

Parent company cares only about the numbers and don't invest themselves in getting to know the individual subsidiaries. They have a formula and think one size fits all.

Pros

Company was innovative and management was hard working and trustworthy. My team mates were intelligent and dependable. Everyone pulled their weight.

Cons

Vacation policy could be better. You start with 3 weeks and gain a week of vacation time after 5 years of employment. So you only have 3 weeks of vacation until your 5 year anniversary
