Pros

It has been incredibly fulfilling to work for an organization that cares so deeply about being the change agents to put aside partisanship and bring people of all persuasions together to drive real, lasting results. I love that I get to be apart of a place that has the capabilities to address issues ranging from poverty alleviation to economic opportunity.

Cons

Everything moves so fast, it can hard to keep pace sometimes. We are also scattered across a few buildings, so it can be hard to build relationships with colleagues on different teams.

Pros

Raising funds for nonprofits that do great work.

Cons

The belittling and oppressive atmosphere, the clique-ish leadership, and lack of training and investment in employees.

Stand Together Response

We’re fortunate to fundraise for and partner with so many effective organizations and passionate people. Together, we’re tackling some of our nation’s biggest issues, like finding a permanent solution for Dreamers or unrigging the economy in order to provide opportunity for all. Those are certainly among the most rewarding things about working at Stand Together. Our team members are the most important driver of our impact and results, and we value each person’s contribution. We are moving more quickly than we ever have while building new capabilities to reach our ambitious goals. As we continue to scale and strengthen those capabilities, we won’t always get there as swiftly as we’d like, and we would love to understand the types of opportunities and trainings that would be the most valuable to our teammates. If you are open to a call, I’d value better understanding how we might have better equipped you in your role. –Nick Dunn

Pros

1 star for incredible work-life balance 1 star for amazing people I got to work with

Cons

Pay is not competitive Work processes are overloaded with proprietary Koch philosophy, so you will spend productive hours of the day deliberating about very theoretical premises that likely won't improve your ability to do your job. Medical insurance is not great to say the least. Teams are small and there is not a lot of room to grow in your career and self-development.
